Who are we?
We’re a small team consisting of five people, Egyptians and non-Egyptians, we do not work in politics and we do not belong to any group or political party.
We only want extrajudicial killings in Egypt to end, including the executions that “appear” to have taken place under the law.
Due to the many unfair cases, the regime has executed many people and as there is no fairness in the trials there may be many more killings to come. Dozens are still waiting for their fate.
Why are we doing this?
Someone has to do something and we have decided to take matters into our own hands. Specifically after the extrajudicial killings turned into a systematic practice committed by the current Egyptian regime. The decisions are not an act of transgression.
Unfortunately, they occur and there is no internal accountability or there is no serious reaction from the international community, despite the fact that these extrajudicial killings have not only harmed Egyptians but also citizens from other countries too.
Our efforts were to bring this project to life and we have managed with our teams dedicated time and efforts as well as the support of our friends who have also believed in this project.
We affirm that our decisions regarding the administration of this initiative are based solely on what our human conscience dictates us to do and what justice, freedom and human dignity demand.
